Hi,
I have an feature request: An option to exclude category from listing (like in XMap extension).

On my site I use ArtCats 2.0.3 to list categories and articles, but I need to include a link to an article without showing it's category in the ArtCats listing. It has to be from same section. I worked it out by changing joomla core files. The effect is that user can select Category: Uncategorized, but obviously files will be overwritten with another Joomla update.

Hi Piotr,

I apologize for not replying to this sooner, could you provide some more information as to how you would like this feature to work?

Would it simply be being able to define a list of category ids to exclude from being listed using ArtCats? If so, that's fairly straightforward, but the part where you mention including "a link to an article" sort of confused me.

Hi Omar,
that's exactly how I would like it to be. Exclude Categories: Category ID's. Same for Sections and Articles.

Forget about the part "a link to an article" in my previous message. I was trying to describe a particular example when such a function would be useful, but you got it right anyway.

I've tried to add this feature and have attached what I hope to be a working version that includes it.

Please test it out and let me know if the exclusions are working correctly for you.

There are three new input boxes that have been added for excluding Article, Category, and Section IDs from ArtCats.
